Tripod Adventures.

Photobucket

I finally bought a tripod! I still really need a new camera, but at least I'll be able to take photos in more interesting places without the help of my boyfriend. I'm hoping I'll get a new camera for my birthday...in June...sigh.

Photobucket

Despite having a new tripod these photos didn't turn out so great. I need to practice with it some more. And I didn't realize the weird positioning of that tree directly behind me until just now. oops.

Cardigan - Old Navy; Dress - Urban Outfitters; Tights - Target; Shoes - Aldo

I wore this out thrifting and to lunch with by boyfriend. I found some great stuff - including a skirt I'm going to attempt to hem. I've never hemmed anything before (I just learned how to use a sewing machine) so if any of you know of any good skirt-hemming tutorials I'd love to see them!

I think these photos are lovely. The timer thing is tricky, I have to admit, but I've seen some wonderful results from other bloggers. Love the look, too!

Your dress is SO pretty and I love those tights! Your pictures came out not bad for the first time using a tripod... you should have seen my first attempt- ugh, not pretty! Also, I just discovered my tripod wasn't table height after all, but actually as tall as me. Oops, wish I knew that sooner. LOL

Aw, I love the way you incorporated the tights. so creative! And you might like the book SEW U by Wendy Mullin, who designs Built By Wendy. It's a really handy little guide that helped me learn how to hem & comes with patterns I made a shirt from. check it out!
