Fall Wishlist

Ah, the lovely weeks between summer and fall. Isn't this the best time of year? The weather is so perfect. This time of year (and every seasonal transition actually...) always makes me want to shop for things for the upcoming season. For fall I really want some new cardigans and sweaters and some OTK socks. And some riding boots! (Though I'm yet to find any within my budget.)

Lace and Chambray

This weekend was good but busy. As I mentioned in my last post, I saw David Sedaris on Friday night! He was incredibly funny. I mean, obviously his books are hilarious - but I can't believe how much funnier it is just to hear and see him reading. It makes me want to buy one of his audiobooks. If you are a fan of his and you ever get the chance to see him I highly recommend it! The event was a little pricey, but totally worth it. And if you aren't a fan of his yet then you need to go out and buy yourself one of his books! I'd recommend Naked, I've read most if his books and it's my favorite so far.

Lace top, belt - thrifted; Skirt - Ross; Shoes - Forever 21

Saturday and Sunday I spent with my mom shopping and lunching and cooking and all sorts of fun stuff. I was searching for some spring/summer shoes (I don't own ANY wedge sandals?!). I finally found one pair, which I'm sure you'll see soon. I'm still dying to get my hands on these:

I hope they make their way to my local Target soon!

Alright, back to finishing up Sunday night chores - homework, cleaning, and getting ready to start my new job tomorrow!

It's raining.

No outfit post. See title.

But, I have been thinking a bit about decor lately because my living arrangements next semester will give me a lot more freedom to decorate my space. Modcloth has many cute little pieces I'd love to have in my home.

Anti-Winter Wishlisting

I was thinking that by today my spite for the weather would've passed and I'd have an outfit post for you. Not so much. By the time I even got motivated enough to consider taking some photos it was already dark outside. So I present to you another I-really-wish-it-was-spring post. Only this is more of a here's-what-I'd-be-wearing-if-it-was-spring-and-I-had-enough-money-to-buy-all-this-awesome-stuff post. No worries though, I did a little shopping this weekend so my next post is bound include an outfit. What could be more motivating than new clothes?

I Guess We'll Just Have To Adjust

So much for my pretty outdoor snow shoot. It's rainy and dreary today. But I took lots of indoor photos and I'm going to post far too many of them because, well, because I feel like it.

So, this dress is from my mini-shopping spree at Urban. I can't believe I haven't shown you guys any of the stuff I bought yet! There's more to come. "Jessica, have you spent more at Urban than you've earned working there?" you ask. Ehem, no comment. I've forbidden myself from buying anymore stuff. At least until my next paycheck. But I have my eye on this lovely dress and these jeggings!

I'm the queen of impractical shoes. These shoes have absolutely no traction. I'm lucky not to slip and fall on the carpet. Yet I wore them today out in the rainy/icy/snow because I didn't like any other shoes with this outfit. (I mean, the gold on the shoes...the gold in the buttons. How could I switch shoes?!)

My arms are doing a disappearing act because this dress has pockets...

Also, I love my fabric steamer. I never knew I could love an appliance so much. Perhaps I will love my sewing machine more if I succeed in pillow-case making at my sewing class this evening.

School Girl

I promise this blog will be more than just me posting photos of things I want. (I plan on doing an outfit post tomorrow.) But, I have to return to class tomorrow which reminded me...I really want a brown leather satchel to carry my school books in. I've been dying for one ever since I saw An Education.

I'm starting my new job at Urban Outfitters next week (eee!) and if I can refrain from buying everything there, I will save up my paychecks and buy myself a lovely new satchel.

Even though Christmas is over...there are always a few things left on your wish list you didn't get, right? What's left on your wish list?

Jewelry Lust

I am a bit of a pendant addict. Necklaces are my favorite type of jewelry and I am crazy about all of these...

I discovered the Old Gold Boutique via Our Paper Moon. Check out her blog, it's one of my favorites!
