"And the snow is softly falling on her petticoats."

My second tripod shoot! I think this one turned out much better, although I wish it had been a bit brighter out. I also wish I'd noticed my belt was crooked. At least I had the lovely snow to shoot in. I'm pretty sure this is the third Friday in a row we've had snow here. Why does it always have to be on the weekends?! It leaves me stuck inside and never even gets me out of class. ugh.

Hat - Local store; Scarf, belt - Gap; Cami - Forever 21; Cardigan - J. Crew; Skirt - Urban Outfitters; Boots - Alloy

I'm hoping to do the hemming on that thrifted skirt I mentioned sometime this weekend. I discovered that it has a zipper at the bottom. Why is it at the bottom and not the waist? I've never even seen that before! Of course, the first hemming project I decide to try has to end up being really difficult because of some inexplicable zipper. Anyways, I'm going to try and get that done soon and do a tutorial. I know that most people who know how to sew probably don't need a tutorial for basic things like zippers and hemming, but I thought maybe some readers might be beginners like myself? Eh? Are you out there beginners?! Also, part of my purpose with this blog is to document my projects and learning to sew. Hopefully it doesn't turn out horribly...

I love the background of your photos, especially the one with the little bridge. I'm so jealous of people who have beautiful backgrounds! Good luck on your skirt!

I would love for you to put up a tutorial! I've seen so many skirts thrifting that I would hem and instantly make them wearable, but I don't know how :(
&Love the scarf, looks so comfy!

That's so strange, I've never encountered a skirt with the zipper at the bottom! Good luck hemming it.

The snow scapes are so lovely, and I adore the bright red scarf!

Great location, it looks so beautiful as the backdrop! I really like this look with the longer cardigan over the short skirt, and the chunky scarf.
