Socks vs. Toes

When I went to Urban Outfitters yesterday I bought these socks (for $1.99!) and some new nail polish. So my toenails were freshly painted and it was hard to decide whether or not I wanted to show off my toes or socks. As you can see, I went with socks. I figured there will be plenty of time for cute toes as the weather keeps getting warmer...but people might think I'm crazy for sporting socks in July.

Socks vs. Toes

Remember this dress? I've worn it as a shirt a few times. I told you here that you'd see me wearing it as a dress soon...but I really don't wear it as a dress that often. The more I look at these photos the more I think it is just kind of unflattering. What do you guys think?

These are the new shoes I mentioned. I figure they're the closest thing I'll ever get to these Jeffrey Campbell lovelies. (And way cheaper...)

As for the Cynthia Vincent's, I'm still determined to get my hands on some. More news on that to come.

It's been quite a while since my last post, and unfortunately that's the way it's gonna be for a while. I've got soooo much stuff going on right now, so blogging is getting pushed to the back burner for the next few weeks. I'll try to post/comment/read sporadically during this time and return to regular posting ASAP.

(I just realized these are the EXACT same colors I wore in my last post. I feel so boring...)

I like when you wear it as a shirt! I think you'd get more use of it if you chopped it off and maybe you could sew a band to the skirt part to make it something new! good luck with everything!

love those shoes! looks so cute with the chambray dress and those darling socks! i'm stalking a few pairs of cv shoes on ebay right now. i'm actually head over heels for the multi colored ones. i have only two pairs of shoes that are not black or brown (well three if you count my running shoes, which i don't).

I think you look lovely! I do think (If we are to be completely honest here) that the waist on the dress should be a bit higher on you. You're so tall and thin you should be showing off your small waist and long legs! :)
Maybe you can hike it up a bit and make the top more blouse-y like?

I think the drop-waist & loose fit is what makes it not as cute as a dress. I love love love the socks/shoes and your headband though :)

Oh it's not boring...these are perfect colors for this time of the year. They match all of the lovely blooming flowers! I love your dress and your shoes definitely are cute with those socks :]

no girl, you don't look boring at all! i love this outfit as much as I love your previous one :) the white socks with the brown shoes are like a match made in heaven. I wish I could pull off the "socks" trend. They make my short legs look shorter :(

I don't think the dress is unflattering, but I kind of want it to be a romper instead of a dress. Maybe it's the way the waistline falls. Either way, you still look cute as a button!

These shoes are so great and look almost identical to the Jeffery Cambell ones. GOOD FIND!

The drop waist of the dress is not the most flattering on anybody's figure, but I didn't look at you and go, "Yikes." I actually really like the simplicity of this look, with just enough edge in the oversized flower in your hair and the socks. The shoes are really amazing, too, such a good find.

love love the socks & shoes combo! the socks are so pretty & gorgeous headband too :) i think the dress looks good worn either way, its meant to be loose as a dress but i don't think its unflattering. you could unbutton it & wear it as a long shirt over a plain dress or something?
