Flower child.

I found this lovely vintage lace blouse at the thrift store recently. I almost abandoned it at the checkout when I discovered a couple stains on the back, but I'm glad I decided against it. It was so easy to style. I felt a little hippie-ish in it today. Eh? Maybe that's just because I was laying around in the grass and admiring the blueness of the sky.

Vintage lace blouse, belt - thrifted; Shorts - American Eagle; Sandals - Nine West

Oh, goodness...an iPad commercial just came on. When I first heard about the iPad it seemed sort of silly to me...I kept wondering how I'd actually use/hold it. But Apple got me with their mesmerizing commercials and catchy songs. Not that it matters, I can't afford one! But even if I did have extra cash to spend on electronics I think I'd buy something different. A Macbook, a new cell phone or a new camera. A camera is at the top of my list. Which reminds me - what kind of camera do you use? Do you like/recommend it? I'm hoping to buy one with birthday money in a couple of months, and I have no idea what I want!

I just broke my camera recently actually, so I'm looking in the market for a new one, too! But it has to stay within budget, college student that I am. :/ My friend recommended Canon, they always seem consistent. But then, would you want a fancier one for blogging purposes? Ah, the choices!

I really love the romantic hippie feel of the blouse, the few stains can't deter its beauty!

Glad that you got that top because it's lovely! Love how you styled it.. and fun pictures! We had blue skies too today, but it's like that most days.. :) I'm in need of a new camera... hopefully a DSLR. I want the Canon 30D (it's an old model), but that's what I learned on and got used to the manual settings and button/dial placements. I found a few on ebay going for only $400. A couple years ago it was over $2000! Hope you find a camera you like!... and oh how I wish I still got some "Birthday Money". :)

xx Love & Aloha

I use a Nikon D40x with Nikkor zoom lenses. I got my camera about a year ago so they don't make my model anymore, its all D60, D5000, D8000 now but the lens is still out. I highly suggest a Nikon they are awesome. If you don't want to buy them from the store you can probably find some on ebay or amazon!
& the lace top is great.

I love that blouse, it's gorgeous! and I also think the iPad is stupid...my next purchase is an iPhone for my birthday I think, I'm rather excited to finally get it in June! As for cameras, I have a Nikon D60 which is pretty good if you don't know a lot about SLR cameras, but I personally wish I got a Canon, I think they are better (but they are more expensive) Good luck finding what you want!

Beautiful blouse. A real find.

Cameras: Nikon is the best but they're very pricey. Canon makes very good cameras for much less money. If you're going to use a camera for this blog, get a digital SLR instead of a simple point-and-shoot; you'll have more options and better quality.

I love this blouse, it's so summery! And I bought a belt just like that one at a thrift store the other day, it's super versatile.

As far as cameras, I'm in the process of looking for a new one and it's between a NikonD40 (very easy for beginners I hear) and a Canon Rebel...Best Buy was having the Nikon on sale this week for about $60 off, so you may wanna check out those sales.

The iPad is pretty awesome. I don't have one, but a friend of mine does and it's quite fun to play with. We figured out that taking one into a coffee shop attracts men like cute puppies attract women. Maybe I need to get one so I can step up my single game. Ha!

Very cute top!

I use a Nikon D100 and I really like it. As far as digital SLR cameras go, you can't go wrong with a Nikon or a Cannon - they are both great cameras and have a lot of similar features. It mostly just depends on your budget, size preference, ect.

and i'm glad you decided to buy it regardless for the stains! it's so gorgeous, kinda hippie-ish and victorian-ish, no? ok, too many "-ish"es. hahaha.. About the iPad, I'd say save your money for a macbook or an iphone. I think you'd use either one more than you would an iPad :)
