A Case of the Mondays.

I hesitated posting this outfit because I liked it less and less as the day went on. I'm not really sure why...I just didn't really feel like myself in it. I'll blame it on Monday.

Pretending to pick flowers for a close-up photo of my ring. These are the moments when I wonder if I'm just totally insane...

Top, belt - thrifted; Skirt - Old Navy; Sandals - J. Crew; Ring - local store

Not the best Monday ever. The highlight of my day was buying some dry shampoo (I'm terribly exciting). I've been wanting to try some out for a while and I finally bought this stuff by TRESemme today. I might do a little review of it if anyone's interested.

Do you use dry shampoo? Any tips or favorite products?

I like the outfit! And I love that ring too.

I looooove dry shampoo. I use Toni&Guy brand. I suppose it depends on how greasy your hair is. It can make it look a bit better, sometimes a lot better, but it doesn't last too long.
My only tip would be that I don't brush my hair after putting it in. And I try to spray from underneath the hair so it bouffes it up a bit!

your outfit is so lovely! i have similar sandals i purchased not too long ago for the spring and summer seasons.

i use dry shampoo only if i really need to. if its just one of those days. since my hair is a really dark brown borderline black, and the powder is white, i have to be careful. i don't not put too much otherwise i look like i have a nasty case of dandruff or something! yeah, gross.

i use the ojon one i found at sephora. it was the cheapest one they had but now definitely going to try out the treseme one! id love to know how it worked out for you!

I think your outfit is cute, love the skirt! Maybe it's because the top and skirt are sort of trying to be the same colour but failing? I think it's fine though, very spring-y and picnic-y!

Your outfit is amazing, I love it!! You always look fantastic. I feel the same way about my outfits, but the point is to post, we can't be perfect all the time unfortunately :) Some outfits that I think suck get rated high on Chictopia. And yours ALWAYS ARE, so you must be doing something right :D Also, I've never used dry shampoo but have always been curious. I would love to see a review by you..

You are so talented, keep it up!!

That skirt is great and the sandals too. Wish I had some shampoo recommendations but my hair is typically a disaster.

I love this skirt! I'm glad you posted it.

I'd love to know about the dry shampoo. I have very thin hair that has to be washed daily and it's a real pain. I'm always looking for a cheap dry shampoo.

i think you look lovely! but i know how you feel. some days nothing feels right and there's no reason for it, just a funk. and the next time you wear it, you'll feel amazing. i don't know. but you look super pretty. i love that skirt!

Such a pretty outfit! I love that skirt so much!

I've never tried dry shampoo - my hair is so naturally curly/frizzy that I only wash it once a week. I need to let the natural oils take over!

and i LOVE your outfit today--you look effortless and pretty.

I'd love to see your dry shampoo review! I'm a sucker for Tresemme products and I have some of their "Fresh start" frizz serum that I use on my hair when it's wet (I guess it's not really made for wet hair, but whatever).

I've been meaning to try dry shampoo because I have curly hair and washing it every day can be disastrous. I'm interested to hear about it!

I'm interested in dry shampoo, but I fear white powder in my dark hair - so would be interested in your review!

And I think your outfit is adorable!

I used to swear by dry shampoo, but I have coloured hair so it can make it look a bit dull. Saying that it's great the morning after the night before and I have a 9am lecture!!
gorgeous dress :]] i hope you had a lovely day.

i really like this, your skirt is gorgeous! lovely sandals too. loving all your pics recently the weather just looks great! the days are irritatingly alternating between sunny/rainy where i am :(

yes i use dry shampoo but only during the week when i work, as i have to tie it back so no point taking the time to wash & dry it! i use batiste(not sure if you would have it in the us), it has retro-ish packaging, different scents & is cheap!

Haha, I love the close up shot of your ring. I would totally do the same thing :p And yes, I use dry shampoo for my bangs (I hate it when they split!) Thanks for letting me know about the new Tresemme product! I'd like to give it a try :D

Silly girl, you look amazing!

I use dry shampoo by Bumble and Bumble and LOVE it. I have very thick hair and it's pretty dry, so I don't like to wash it a lot and this does the trick for me.

Sometimes breaking out of the norm is good for a day, and you look really cute in this outfit!
I like the neutrals for spring time.

I've never used dry shampoo- although I've always wanted to! My hair has the tendency to get so greasy so fast. I can't even shower the night before the next day of school or whatever because by morning it's oily again. And it just gets worse as the day goes. Maybe I should try dry shampoo, eh??

Well, anyways. I love your outfit. The florals are pretty and I love the button down shirt tucked in:) cute, in my opinion. but I know how it is to not feel like yourself in an outfit- however, I think you look great!

Love,
maggie:)

i like this outfit. the silhouette is longer than you tend to wear though. i can't really claim to be an expert on hair care products anymore, since i only use non-residue shampoos. but, i still want to read the review.

oh, let me know how you like FreshStart! I currently use "Pssst" and I hate the smell! I used to use Tigi "Rockstar" but it seriously lasted five sprays.

I love this outfit, specifically your sandals and ring!
