Good Intentions

I had good intentions for this day. And this outfit. And this post. But nothing turned out as I planned. I was going to be really productive today. I was going to clean my apartment and run all sorts of errands. I was going to wear a cute outfit which involved a skirt and a lacy floral top and my new knee high boots. I was going to spend lots of time messing around with the manual settings on my camera and take really great photos for my blog. But none of this happened. I woke up and saw that it was dreary and grey outside. And for the third day in a row, some sort of cold/allergy/sinus monster continued to inhabit my head, leaving me all stuffy with a headache and a sore throat. I did my best, but I couldn't resist the urge to wear jeans and put my hair up. (And I definitely didn't clean my apartment.)

In other news, my mom and I went to the thrift store this evening and I found SEVEN amazing sweaters. Super exciting, as I actually don't have many sweaters in my wardrobe. Hooray for warmth on a budget.

P.S. You can't really tell, but my earrings are little gold owls. In case you were wondering...

The cold monster has been attacking me lately as well, and destroying all of my productivity! I am staying home from work sick today, so I hope to at least get the dishes done and update the blog, but...who knows. Sometimes the tv's pull is just too strong.

(Your outfit is still cute though, and I love the earrings!)

i wish i looked 1/2 as good as you when i'm sick. i usually just throw on my uggs (which are the ugliest things i own but acceptable slippers to wear in public) and jeans (which i never wear). hope you are feeling better & can't wait to see those sweaters!

ooo LOVE everything about this look, casual and chic! I'd really like to own a pair of those boots.

aaaand I photographed Tim Gunn while he hosted a fashion show at a huge mall near Detroit in November! He was so cute and answered each question candidly that was asked!

This look is so simple, yet so fashionable! The print on your tee is adorable! I wish I could see your owl earrings better, because they sound really cute! It so fun to wear interesting earrings.
Feel better soon!

When you sort of stopped blogging, I stopped following your blog, but I was going through my 'liked' bloglovin posts today and found the first Milton post that I found so ridiculously adorable to look at. It was such a nice surprise finding out that you've started blogging again, even if it is sporadical! I love the photo summary you did and I'm really excited to read future posts (and OHMYGOSH Milton is so much bigger!).
